Changing car title?? Help please????

I bought a car from a friend and never changed the title. I fix up the car and now i dont want the car anymore i want to buy another car. So i sold it to my coworker and now he wants to change the title so he can drive the car around. Thats fine but the first owner my friend dosent have a drivers license or a state ID and he doesnt want to get one out cus he has a warrant for his arest. He doesnt want to take the ID out hes is afraid he might get arrested. What can be done to get the title changed to my coworkers name?????? please help thanx in advance!!!!!Changing car title?? Help please????If you have the title from the guy you bought it from, and the buyer released interest, just sign a bill of sale releasing your interest and give the new buyer the title and your bill of sale. If the car is less than ten yrs old, an odometer disclosure form is required also.



As for your friend being arrested at the DMV, the employees of the DMV are not law enforcement, and would not have knowledge of whether a warrant has been issued or not, so he is worrying needlessly about being arrested while applying for a driver license or identification card.

If it's a clear title, all he has to do is sign the back. That's it. If you have any questions all you have to do is call the local register's office. They will help you out.
