1. I don't know which conversion kit you are talking about, but ethanol is highly corrosive. I doubt that any conversion kit will protect your engine/fuel lines, pumps, etc. unless you car was specifically built for dual E85-regular gas.
2. Even though your town has E85, E85 is still rare for most of the country, nixing any road trip ideas.
3. E85 gets worse MPG than gasoline (as stated here) so even if you're car would run the E85, the money you save may not pay for the cost of the conversion kit.
4. If you think gas prices will keep rising, you should think of buying some stock in Valeo (VLO), one of the biggest US companies that refines gasoline. At least then you can make some money off of high gas prices.SHould I buy the ethanol kit to change my car to run on ethanol?PS, I've been checking out some of the sites that sell conversion kits....some reek of SCAM....so be careful.
Naturally, YMMV.

SHould I buy the ethanol kit to change my car to run on ethanol?Your car will get less mpg while running ethanol or E-85.To answer this quisition I have to know what kind of car.But in most cases no . Unless your car cas made to run on E85 buying a kit to make it wun on this stuff is in my face foolish.
Also I know of no such kit to do this
