I need to somehow make a checklist of 50 things to do when changing oil such as checking coolant or checking the exhaust... stuff like that. Please Help! What are 50 things you need to do when changing your oil in a car?well heres a few less obvious ones.
check...
lights... (you can check each individually if you need some more stuff)
drain plug seal
my shop has a meter to check the % coolant vs. H2O.
after changing oil start the car and check it comes backup to correct oil pressure. What are 50 things you need to do when changing your oil in a car?power steering, air filter, cabin air filter, battery, belt, tire tread depth/wear, coolant, coolant hoses, tie rod ends, bearing play, tire pressure, look for leaks underneath, transmission fluid, brake fluid level, brake wear, shocks/struts for leakage, scheduled maintenance list, clean windows, add washer fluid, check wiper blades, rotor thickness/runout, belt tension, spark plug wires, exhaust hangers/rubber, wash windows/windshield, vacuum carpet... i dunno... depends on how in-depth you wanna get. What are 50 things you need to do when changing your oil in a car?Only one thing you really need to know, go to some place where they do oil changes and top ups for free, example being if you just need a little power steering fluid, they top up, otherwise you are buying for $6 and never use it, also, if you put the wrong fluid in the wrong compt. you end up with a screwed up whatever. So for $30 just go to the oil change placecheck your glove compartment and you will find the car manual there. It will guide you in how to in there. There arent 50 things to do even car shops only do 12 or 17 point inspections where the heck you get 50 from
