Changing insurance to keep a car on campus?

i'm in college and i need to keep my car on campus for a few months. i am living in an apartment on campus but the car is registered at my house. do i need to change anything on the insurance? or can i keep it the way it is, since it's only temporary? i live in pennsylvania.Changing insurance to keep a car on campus?Anything more than 30 days you should notify the company regarding the change in the garaged location. It's possible, as another person indicated, that if you were in a relatively expensive area to insure (like Philly, which has very high rates) and are in a better area rate-wise you might have a lower premium for a little while. Worth checking into, unless of course you're going to school in Philly, and that will increase your policy quite a bit.

I would just leave it thats what ive been doing its too much of an hassel to change it all... But do what you want.. The only reason they want to know where the vehicle housing w/e is soo if your car gets stolen or if you done something illegal same with ur licence but it shouldnt matter

most insurance companies consider you to still live at home even if you are away at college because it's not considered a permanent move.Your insurance should stay the same.
Up to you, but if you change the location of the car and say that the distance you usually drive it has gone down, it will lower your payment.

I didn't change mine in College though because I didn't care.
The insurance company needs to have the address where the vehicle is principally garaged. On campus, your insurance could possibly go down slightly.
if you are a freshman.. you cannot have a car on campus

if you are not a freshman, yes the insurance needs to know that the car will parked nightly on campus .. even for a few months
