When do I have to change car's clutch? On average?

My car is Ford Festiva 1.3 litre, made in 1999. Manual. Thanks. When do I have to change car's clutch? On average?depends on how you drive, my grandfather has got a 1990 hiace, done almost 400,000kms on the original clutch. the van was always fully loaded, he had to unload a lot of tools out of it before taking it for a service as the hoists couldn't lift it it weighed that much, behind it he use to tow 30,000lt milk vans to farms, (was a refrigeration mechanic) so still after all these years, towing all that weight and that many kms the original clutch is still going strong. if you are doing stop start traffic the clutch life will be less. if you are someone who slips the clutch more than you need to you will wear it out quick.
