What to have in mind when changing stock car speakers?

hi guys i changed the stock cd player to a nice sony one and my speakers are 30 watt max peak on a 2000 honda accord. i want to get a 2 way sony speakers beside the size do i need to have anything else in mind?

the curremt speakers hve something similar to a 6 pin computer like this : http://www.pcpower.com/images/products/b鈥?/a> connected to the box.

the car has 2 spekers in front and 2 spekers in back.

thanks. What to have in mind when changing stock car speakers?i have to stop you a lot of sony speakers especially xplod's are deceptive a lot of times there power handling is worse than the stock speakers they might be cheap and say there peak power is pretty high but keep in mind they will only ben able to handle their rms power which they will convieniently post on the hardest place to find on the box and also the rms they say the speakers is usually both speakers added together so if the rms is 20w than its really 10 per speaker if your trying to upgrade for a good price try boss you might have to get them online but for two speakers i got mine for 30$ their rms is 57w each

also when looking for speakers make sure they have crossovers the box they come in will say 2 or 3 way speakers meaning you will get a woofer and a tweeter that will handle higher frequencies!

GOOD LUCK MAN!
