I Sold my Car in April and I guess they havent changed the tittle and i got a ticket!? Am I obligated to pay?

I sold my car in april to a lady that paid in cash and I received a ticket in the mail because she got caught on camera running a red light and the car still had the original license plates....

Am i obligated to pay for it?

What happens if she doesnt change the car tittle?.. And this happens again....

Don't even think about reporting it stolen since you gave her the car. You should have removed the plates when she took it. Legally, you still own the car and any damage caused by it.

This is still your car... tell her to change the title over and to pay the ticket or else you are going to repossess the car... It is yours after all...

I would take the bill of sales to your city office and let them know that the vehicle is sold. You should have signed over the title when you sold the vehicle. If she is driving on your old plates and it has been that long, she is driving illegally.
You should have removed your licence plate and all other personal property from the vehicle

You should have not allowed her to take your license plates. Since the car is still in your name, probably. I would go to the local police dept, explain your problem and ask them for a solution.
this is your responsibility. When you sell the car ,you should be at the registrars office to make certain of the transfer.You are the proud owner of a traffic ticket as the car apparently hasn't been changed over, Why did you not remove your plates from this car?Report the car stolen to police,the transfer will occur.By the way this is just a ticket, if this person hits runs and kills someone, you are responsible for that also.
Yes you are obligated to pay. You should do the title change yourself when you sell a car.
Do you have a bill of sale, if so take it to the ticket office and show proof that you are not the current owner of the car and ask what can be done since the woman has not retitled the car. If the title is still in your name what actions do you need to take to protect yourself? What happens if she hits and kills somebody with the car still in your name or has an accident and leaves the scene. make sure the car is taken out of your name immediately, if not reposes it, it is still titled in your name.
